Terry has worked in the charity fundraising sector for the last 30 years where he has gained a vast wealth of knowledge and expertise in his field, which he is able to offer and share with the charity, Crackerjacks.

In 1997, Terry worked for eight years as an Area Manager for The Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, a national children’s charity based in Halesowen, West Midlands. Terry headed the fundraising team and was responsible for raising vital funds to support young children with cancer.

This organisation supported and worked alongside a national charity, Momentum, a Brain Injury Centre located in  Birmingham, however, wanting to offer more by way of supporting and funding children with disabilities Feel Good Fundraising was dissolved and Crackerjacks Children's Trust was born.

In 2011, Terry and John jointly formed Crackerjack’s Children’s Trust and became Co-founders. In this challenging new role Terry's work allows him to oversee and administrate the running of the charity, the operations of the charity, and to be able to work closely with the charity's families and support teams, he also offers help, support and advice to the charity's beneficiaries and its Trustees along with supplying outreach work. Terry is also a registered member of The Institue of Fundraisers.

In his spare time, Terry enjoys listening to classical music, spending time with family and friends and most recently travelling around the countryside in his touring home with partner, Lin and their pet dog Alfie.

OUR PATRONS

Claire Cashmore.jpg

Claire Cashmore MBE
Patron

Claire became our patron in December 2016.

Claire is a great ambassador for disability sport and Crackerjacks Children’s Trust. She regularly gives motivational talks to children and adults and inspires others in the work she does.

Claire is a Seasoned Paralympian. Rio 2016 was Claire’s fourth Paralympics and most successful to date. She entered the world stage at only 16 years old, qualifying for Athens and coming home with 2 bronze medals, a bronze at the games in Beijing in 2008, and a further 2 silvers and a bronze in London 2012. London 2012 saw a big boost in Claire’s profile as she was chosen to be one of the faces of Channel 4’s hugely successful Meet the Superhuman campaign – she was featured on billboards nationwide and in a number of adverts on Channel 4 speaking candidly about her disability.  Claire’s performance in the pool at Rio 2016 was impressive. With experience under her belt, she won silver in the SB8 100m breaststroke and her first gold in the 4 x 100m medley relay.
